Church Group Time

When we are in Thunder Bay, we will meet together as a church group each evening.  The theme for the week is:  You are Here and it based on Mark 12:30-31:  "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.  The second is this:  'Love your neighbor as yourself.'  There is not commandment greater than these."

Sometimes we focus on the future.  We dream about what will be or do someday.  We hope for something different or we fear that things will change.

Sometimes we get caught up in the past.  We think about what could have been or we regret mistakes or we wish for something different.

The past is behind us and the future is still ahead.  You are Here!  We are here in this time and place.  And if we spend all our time looking forward or back, we might just miss the things that God has for us right here, right now!

This week we will be reflecting on God's purpose for us here and now.  Each evening in our church group time we will look at a different passage of Scripture.  We will share those on this blog.  So, stay tuned!  In the meantime, know that God loves you and God can use you wherever you are!
